Globalization brings people from different parts of the world, different social classes, and different cultures, face to face. It puts them together and forces them to interact in ways that can be illuminating but also confrontational. As we advance in the reading of Reggaetón Cruise we see many conflicts between people who come from disparate milieus. Part II of the novel has numerous conflicts that find different solutions (or that have no solution).

Yusuke’s conflict with the media in Japan and Florida
Mamadú’s own conflict with his past/ his current life
Alvo and Mamadú’s clashes even as they become a sort of team
Yusuke and his inability to see eye to eye with Alvo and Mamadú
The murder of Sir Antoine Ruggeri
Sandrita’s conflict with her mother (Anahí)
Sandrita’s love/hate relationship with Big Toño
The trucker’s spitting problem
The “cusucos” view of the migrants and vice versa

In this essay you will parse through several conflicts and classify them into three groups. Each group should have clearly defined patterns. In others words, you will be showing three different kinds of conflict in Section Two of Reggaeton Cruise. As author of this essay, you will be responsible for finding the similar patterns that make each kind of conflict. Your criteria for grouping a handful of conflicts should be logical and clearly stated. Having said that, you have ample freedom in the usage of your classification methods.
