NATURAL DISASTERS CASE STUDY INSTRUCTIONS
In this part of the CS you will be creating your PowerPoint Presentation that will be presented to the class.
To complete CS Part 5 do the following THREE STEPS…
STEP ONE: Presentation requirements. This entire presentation should be in your OWN WORDS… I want it to sound like you and be given at an introductory level. Quotes and videos clips are NOT allowed to be used because they would not be in your own words.
TIME: Your presentation should be between 5-8 minutes long. Your presentation. LENGTH: between 15-20 slides in length
Your presentation should include the following:

1. A TITLESLIDE – that clearly tells the audience what your case study is about and includes your name.
2. An OUTLINE SLIDE – that gives a summary of what the audience will learn during the presentation
3. A LOCATION FIGURE– which clearly shows WHERE in the world (the region) your case study occurred
4. INFORMATION ABOUT – the background, the cause, what happened during and after the disaster (what should be included)
5. A DATA FIGURE – A graph or chart that includes collected data from your event
6. A REFERENCE SLIDE – which includes all your information sources numbered and in MLA formatting.
7. SEPARATE SOURCE SLIDE FOR IMAGES – a separate slide that lists where all your images came from; this can just be a list of weblinks for each
8. CITATIONS – all the information in your presentation should be tied to which source they came from in your reference slide using the (AUTHOR, YEAR).
