A cross-sectional study was conducted to find out to barriers to implementing EBP. The study has shown that 56% and 57% of participants agreed that barriers to implementing EBP are related to individual aspect, and organizational level which includes lack of human resources and heavy workload (Khammarnia et al; 2015). When there is a lack of nursing staff in an organization, they do not have time to read literature and current EBP which causes a barrier to implementing EBP. It is clear from the study that there is a lack of nursing staff to implement the EBP that also results in work overload to the staff who are on duty. This problem definitely needs to be addressed to reduce burnout among nurses. The different ways that can be used to address this issue are by involving leaders and managers by participating them in the patient care areas which clarify the actual picture and issues (Whitney, 2018). Similarly, organization can also coordinate with the nursing school to get new grad nurses in the organization by providing them enough training. This will reduce the staff shortage and so does work overload.
