Project Topic: The Effect of Early Colorectal Cancer Screening on Disease Incidence and Detection. The reviewer wants me to focus on improving screening rather than disease incidence. She feels that disease incidence would not be significant in such a short time frame. The project is over a 4 week period. I need all the help I can get.
Criteria: Must be
• Adults aged 50-75
• A current patient of the urban primary care clinic hosting the project
• Has never been diagnosed with colorectal cancer (CRC) or has symptoms resembling CRC.
100 participants were chosen for project. SPSS was not exactly run as the projects site wanted the project to be limited to 100 patients due to covid. Multiple screening modalities were used. 3 of the 100 patients had previous screening prior to the intervention. After the intervention implementation, all 100 were screened. Prior to the intervention colorectal cancer incidence was 0 and 2 persons were diagnosed after screening.
